Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Complex Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing specialized care to individuals with complex needs, specifically within a care home setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to a 79-year-old female resident with complex care needs.
  • Assist with personal care routines that may be time-intensive due to the patient's specific requirements and OCD.
  • Ensure the patient's safety, comfort, and dignity are maintained at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team and follow care plans accurately.

Key Competencies:

  • Experience in Complex Care: Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a care home or community setting.
  • Compassionate Care: Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care to individuals with complex needs.
  • Patience and Understanding: Ability to work with individuals requiring extended personal care routines and accommodate specific needs sensitively.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing care requirements and respond to emergencies if needed.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
  • Relevant experience in complex care settings, particularly with individuals requiring extensive personal care assistance.
  • Right to work in the UK (if applicable).
  • Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this).
