Laboratory Technician
- Job Type: Full-time and permanent
- Location: West Norfolk, UK
- Working hours - alternating shifts: there may be possibility to work only the morning shift. The shifts are 6am – 2:30pm and 2:15pm – 10:45pm. (Office hours of 8:30am – 5pm may be observed during less busy times with prior notification)
Join a leading company in the agricultural sector as a Laboratory Technician. My client is looking for a dedicated individual with a background in Chemistry who thrives in a busy industrial laboratory environment.
Day to Day of the role:
- Sampling and correct labelling of incoming raw materials.
- Conducting quality control of intermediate and finished products.
- Documenting test results using LIMS software and populating certificates of analysis.
- Producing commercial samples as requested by the sales team.
- Preparing samples for external analysis.
- Assisting with label approvals.
- Maintaining general laboratory housekeeping standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A-Level in Chemistry or equivalent qualifications (HNS/HND) or relevant experience.
- Background in Chemistry; experience with complex mixtures is desirable.
- Experience in an industrial laboratory setting is ideal, but not essential as full training is provided.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Competence to work independently after training.
- Good mathematical ability and computer literacy.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
