WEIGHBRIDGE Operator/Administrator for growing business in Rotherham

A new opportunity for a Weighbridge Operator has arisen due to growth, working for a growing, stable, family-oriented recycling company based in Rotherham. As a Weighbridge Operator/Administrator, you will play a crucial role in streamlining on-site logistics and vehicle control.

The Role:

You will work alongside our Transport Fleet Manager supporting the Site manager and Finance team with a variety of duties,
Your duties will include:
" Direct traffic coming onto the site and operating the weighbridge.
" Check incoming loads, ensuring compliance with site licence and permitted waste types.
" Accurately record weights & waste type by vehicle, completing appropriate documentation and collecting driver signatures etc.
" Process delivery notes and tickets accurately and efficiently.
" Immediately report any contamination or non-conforming wastes delivered to the site to the appropriate Manager.
" Report any anomalies/errors to the weighbridge system to the appropriate people immediately.
" Ensure that the waste tonnage report is correct and customer/supplier details are correctly entered.
" Maintain relationships and deal with queries from customers and site visitors.
" Ensure weighbridge customers are aware of site rules and distribute information and guidance accordingly.
" Ensure that vehicles delivering to the site have the correct paperwork and EWC codes.
" Ensure that vehicles have the necessary paperwork for forward movements from the site to the destination.
" Compile compliance reports for materials in and out of the site.
" Ensure that the site diary for materials is kept up to date.
" Assist with general administrative duties and customer service, answering the telephone and directing calls as appropriate.

The candidate must have:

o previous experience in transport would be ideal but not essential
" Accurate and timely data entry skills
o Good communication skills
o Strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise own workload effectively
o Experience with IT. Knowledge of MS Excel is desirable
o Own transport

The Package:

o ( Annual £28,000 to £29,000) £12.26 per hour
o Permanent contract, working 7:30 am until 05:00 pm Monday to Friday (no hybrid working)
o Pension scheme and death in service cover
o 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
o Free on-site parking
