About the Role:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be working within a well-established General Practice team. You will work in a supportive environment with exposure to a wide range of high-quality accounting, financial and business services to both companies and individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients
  • Preparation and submission of year-end accounts to HMRC and Companies House for Sole Traders, Limited Companies and Partnerships
  • Preparation and submission of Corporation Tax Computations
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT Returns
  • Preparation and submission of Confirmation Statements
  • Reconcile client accounting records via Excel or accounting software.
  • Client Payroll; weekly, monthly, and yearly
  • Preparation and submission of monthly CIS returns.
  • Managing and mentoring junior members of the team.

About You:

  • Qualified Accountant with General Practice experience
  • Experience in managing and mentoring junior members of a practice team.
  • Competent user of accounting software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
  • Knowledge of professional regulations and best practice.
  • Be passionate about customers and service, with a strong will to make a difference.
  • To be self-motivated, prioritising and multitasking effectively.
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail.
  • Must be able to adapt quickly to changing business requirements
