Warehouse Operator

Our client is looking for a Warehouse operative to join the production department. To receive & record details of incoming goods, despatch outgoing goods, moving stock and checking stock levels in accordance with company policy and procedures with the aim of providing excellence in service to all internal and external customers. Check stock levels and all other warehouse duties in line with company policy and procedures.

The working hours are Mon - Fri 10am-7pm 40 hours a week.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift trucks and other warehouse machinery in a safe and responsible manner, always adhering to speed limits and good practice without exception.
  • Complete forklift daily checks sheets prior to operating vehicles.
  • Taking delivery of goods and supplies
  • Load and unload goods / Record quantities / update Warehouse system
  • Carry out quality checks.
  • Checking for damaged or missing items
  • Storing goods in line with instructions
  • Picking and packing orders
  • Loading goods for dispatch
  • Store and deliver goods internally to the correct locations.
  • Reconcile computer stock levels and stock in hand when requested by the Warehouse Supervisor
  • Pick products accurately from a pick list provided.
  • Build strong relationships and good communication with internal departments.
  • Ensure that all quality procedures are adhered to and all relevant paperwork is completed.
  • Recognise potential problems quickly and informing the Warehouse Supervisor immediately.
  • To attend and comply with all company training.
  • Ensure PPE is worn as and when required.
  • To adhere to all Health & Safety procedures
  • General Housekeeping within the Warehouse Area
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by manager.

Skills/ Experience

  • Experience within a fast-paced Warehouse environment.
  • Experience of Warehouse management systems
  • Communication Skills
  • FLT License (preferred)
  • Experience working to strict targets and deadline.
