Agile Project Manager

Our client based in Bristol at the junction of the M5/M4 at Aztec West are a busy Global FinTech software provider to the world's top banks. If you can work two days a week in the office the rest can be remote .

They are looking to invest in its Cloud Engineer and Site Reliability teams, that will further enable a rapidly growing Cloud hosted client base and so are looking for an Agile Project Manager .

You will be working alongside a global team of engineering and operations professionals, who are based in the UK, US, and India.

They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agile Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of Agile methodologies, and a proven track record of managing projects to successful completion. As an Agile Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading Agile teams in planning, executing, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Experience

ideally 5+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in an Agile environment.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects

Key Skills :

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skill

Desirable Skills :

Experience with Jira and Jira Service Desk

Project Planning and Management:

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and liaise with the respective departments for resource allocations.
  • Monitor and track project progress, ensuring alignment with project goals.

Agile Facilitation:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
  • Improve the team execution of Agile principles and practices.
  • Remove impediments and foster an environment conducive to high performance and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project alignment with business objectives.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders regularly.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their needs are met.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and motivate cross-functional Agile teams.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.

Risk and Issue Management:

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure timely resolution of project challenges.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete and up to date.

PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP) is highly desirable.
