We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) to join our alternative provision. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting students in an alternative educational setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Use positive reinforcement and other strategies to manage classroom behavior.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
Requirements:
- Proven experience supporting students with SEMH needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
- A commitment to promoting the welfare of children.
- Experience in an alternative provision setting is desirable.
