Position Overview:

We are seeking an expert Teacher of Art & Design to join our talented team. As a part-time member of our staff, you will have the opportunity to inspire and motivate young people to explore and pursue their passion for art and design. You will be responsible for teaching Art and Photography to GCSE level, and ideally, both subjects to A-level. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a passion for promoting the value of art education, and a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Art and Photography to GCSE level, and ideally both subjects to A-level.
  • Inspire and motivate students to discover and pursue their passion for art and design.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students can thrive academically and creatively.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the art and design curriculum.
  • Lead KS3 Art clubs and provide additional GCSE after-school opportunities for students.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Art and Design at GCSE and ideally A-level.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and IT skills.
  • Dynamic, organized, and detail oriented.
  • Ability to relate to young people and support them in becoming independent, resilient learners.
