About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil with ADHD at a school in Doncaster. This ongoing role starts in September and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a child's educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a Year 2 student with ADHD
- Assist in implementing the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP)
- Adapt teaching materials and strategies to meet the child's needs
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor and report on the pupil's progress
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to support the student's development
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with ADHD or other SEN
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
