Manufacturing Technician

Salary: £25,000

Shifts: Day Shift Only

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate production machines and equipment, including CNC, saws, core drills, lapping and polishing machines, and grinders.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
  • Produce and detail various-sized parts to conform to specifications.
  • Work in accordance with process procedures, work order instructions, drawings, and other production documents.
  • Verify part or process conformance to specifications and calibrate or adjust equipment as necessary.
  • Perform detail work, such as waxing, dewaxing, chamfering, acid wash, and cosmetic inspection of parts.
  • Assist with troubleshooting problems with equipment, devices, or products.
  • Maintain equipment by detecting and correcting minor machine malfunctions and performing daily and monthly maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure a safe, organised, and clean work area.
  • Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
  • Set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on processing equipment.
  • Start up and shut down processing equipment as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in operating production machines and equipment, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
  • Familiarity with inspection tools, such as callipers, micrometres, height gauges, pin gauges, and comparators.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment or product-related issues.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to maintain a clean work area.
  • Proactive and able to monitor and adjust production processes for optimal results.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
