Role: Test Analyst

Location: London / Milton Keynes - Hybrid
Length: 3 Month Rolling
Major national logisitics company seeing a Test Analyst to collaborate with existing test team, supporting development of test plans and the execution of software testing activities in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
Responsibilties:
- Contribute to the formulation of test plans, test scripts, and acceptance criteria/definition of done for user stories or requirements.
- Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy throughout the software release cycle.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and scripts for each software component, encompassing the business scenarios under test and anticipated outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to schedules and quality requirements across all work undertaken.
- Provide constructive feedback to the development team and line managers.
- Furnish Test Managers with effort estimates for project scheduling, where applicable.
- Support the scoping and estimation of effort for each user story added to the Product backlog.
- Collaborate closely with developers to enhance the testability of new features and facilitate timely defect resolution.
- Identify opportunities for test automation, and design and create automated test scripts whenever feasible.
- Willingness to travel is required, as the role necessitates mobility.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated successful track record in testing intricate user systems.
- Extensive experience and in-depth understanding of structured test methodologies and processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of manual testing, coupled with exposure to automated testing approaches.
- Familiarity and hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or SOAP UI, among others.
- Experience in testing Windows Software Applications and Database Applications developed using Oracle, GCP BigQuery, and SQL Server.
- Basic understanding of technologies such as Kafka, Azure, GCP, Java, and Jenkins.
- Unwavering commitment to quality and a meticulous approach to testing activities.
- Hands-on experience working with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Formal training/qualifications or practical experience in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Direct involvement in the transition from traditional Waterfall to Agile delivery methodologies within an organization.
