Role: Section Engineer

Tier 1 Contractor

Project: Hinkley Point C

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset

Day rate: £450 - £525 PAYE

Long term contract

Randstad are currently looking for experienced Engineers to join a well developed team on Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater, Somerset. As a Section Engineer you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions on site. You'll be responsible for the management, supervision, and coordination of your designated section, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the engineering activities for your section of the project
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Manage subcontractors and oversee construction quality
  • Plan, schedule, and resource your section effectively
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and planning departments
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and the workforce

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in major infrastructure or civil engineering projects
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction methods
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of nuclear safety standards (desirable but not essential)
