A fantastic opportunity to work with a well established, Fire & Security firm, with a large range of customers ranging from Commercial, Domestic & Industrial sites. My client is eager to welcome a new, experienced Assistant Accountant into the fold.
Package
£35-40,000
Full time (40 hours week) | Office based
Main Responsibilities
- Month end tasks and preparation of monthly management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations and proactive investigation into any differences/aged items
- Create and process journals (prepayments, accruals, depreciation, etc)
- Bank posting and reconciliations
- Ensuring finance team schedules and trackers are up to date
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Supporting with year-end audits
- Ad-hoc financial and headcount reporting
- Expense management
- VAT reconciliations and returns
- Office for National Statistics returns, pus other where applicable
- Project related work
- Any other finance tasks as and when required
Experiences and Knowledge
- Part qualifies accountant (AAT, CIMA, ACCA)
- Excellent Excel sills
- Ability to manage and prioritise a large workload to ensure all deadlines are met
- High attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
- Self-motivated
