Business Development Manager (Bridging Finance)

£60,000 - £75k + commission

As a Business Development Manager, you'll have the freedom to step out of the office and connect with our clients broker community. You'll be assigned a sales region and a database of broker partners to collaborate with.
Reporting to the Managing Director (Sales), you'll be part of a dedicated team focused on Bridging, Refurbishment, and Buy-To-Let offerings.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Key activity:
- Work directly with introducers to review deal enquiries, ensuring complex cases are structured to align with our credit policy.
- Plan and maintain a strategic schedule of appointments to develop credible, trust-based relationships with our introducer base.
- Actively seek and cultivate new business sources from inbound inquiries, broker registration requests, existing contacts, industry journals, and other channels.
- Maximize bridging and BTL sales by building strong relationships with introducers, identifying competitive advantages, and exploring opportunities for product innovation.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of our clients' products and services.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of our clients' competitors and their competitive advantages.
- Record all contacts and meeting details in the company's CRM system (Impact).
- Provide progress reports as needed.
- Perform any tasks necessary to support the achievement of the company's budget and business development goals.
Skills and Competencies
- Preferred background in Bridging & Property BDM, but open to other financial services BDM experience such as Buy to Lets, Development, and Commercial.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in presenting to both small and large audiences.
- Professional communication abilities for interacting with businesses and colleagues via telephone, email, and face-to-face.
- Experience liaising with Introducers and/or external customers.
- Highly motivated, committed to providing outstanding service to customers and clients.
- Excellent presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to collaborate, build trust, and influence at senior levels.
- Demonstrable professional integrity and a strong work ethic.
- Confidence to challenge actions and behaviours inconsistent with company policies and the best interests of the business and its customers.
