Cleaning Services Supervisor/Team Leader - Windsor

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Cleaning Services Supervisor/Team Leader to join our team based within Windsor.

  • Salary: £13.28ph
  • This is a Full time 12-month Fixed Term Contract. Working hours: Monday - Friday 7.5hrs each day between the hours of 06.00am - 20.00pm.

About the role:

This role will ensure the delivery of a full cleaning service in line with policies and procedures and as detailed in the cleaning work schedules through the provision of supervision and support to the cleaning team.

  • Monitoring the team ensuring they are working safely when undertaking their duties.
  • Complete a daily handover ensuring that accurate, detailed information is communicated to the team and your Domestic Manager.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the work area while adhering to Trust policies and procedures.

Key Duties:

  • Provide supervision of the Domestic team.
  • Be able to communicate and liaise effectively within the Domestic team in accordance with Trust values.
  • Ensuring that cleaning is carried out to the required frequencies and standards, in line with the National Specifications of Cleanliness.
  • Ensuring that waste is correctly segregated and bins are routinely emptied and relined as required and that waste is stored/removed as Trust Waste Policy.
  • Ensure that any mechanical defects, faulty or broken equipment identified is recorded and reported.
  • Reporting of Incidents, accidents or near misses in accordance with Trust procedure.
  • Ensuring that the correct storage and economical use of materials and chemicals following, COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) policies and procedures.
  • To organise and plan work tasks within the team, completing work rotas, recording sickness & absence and approve annual leave, ensuring sufficient cover is provided.
  • Undertake scheduled cleaning audits and ensure rectifications are completed within the specified time scales.
  • To follow Trust Infection Prevention policy when carrying out cleaning tasks, adhering to the Trust colour coding system to prevent cross infection.
  • The post holder may be reasonably requested to provide operational support, undertake other duties when required.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • City and Guilds Level 3 Cleaning and Support Services or equivalent demonstrable experience

IOSH Managing Safely qualification or willingness to work towards
Experience of supervising domestic services people.

  • Must have proven experience of domestic/cleaning services.
  • Proven leadership experience of leading a team including rostering, managing sickness and labour management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with team and other hospital stakeholders.
