Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse in Barnet

Are you a passionate and dedicated Nursery Nurse looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are currently seeking a Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse to join a friendly and supportive nursery team in Barnet. This full-time role spans the entire academic year and involves providing exceptional care and education to young children, with a particular focus on supporting those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Location: Primary School in Barnet

Start Date: September Role: Full-Time, Term Time Only Duration: Whole Academic Year Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
  • Support the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for children with SEN, working closely with the SENCo and other professionals.
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities and learning experiences that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress, sharing regular updates with parents and carers.
  • Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where children feel valued and encouraged to explore and learn.
  • Implement and adhere to all nursery policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and health and safety.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, ensuring effective communication and partnership working.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care).
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting, with a particular focus on supporting children with SEN.
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and child development principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach, with a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to engage in training opportunities.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with children with a range of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other developmental delays.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Additional training or qualifications in SEN support.
