Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse in Barnet

We are currently seeking a Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse to join a friendly and supportive nursery team in Barnet. This full-time role spans the entire academic year and involves providing exceptional care and education to young children, with a particular focus on supporting those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
- Support the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for children with SEN, working closely with the SENCo and other professionals.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities and learning experiences that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, sharing regular updates with parents and carers.
- Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where children feel valued and encouraged to explore and learn.
- Implement and adhere to all nursery policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and health and safety.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, ensuring effective communication and partnership working.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care).
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting, with a particular focus on supporting children with SEN.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and child development principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach, with a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to engage in training opportunities.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Desirable:
- Experience working with children with a range of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other developmental delays.
- First Aid qualification.
- Additional training or qualifications in SEN support.
