Key Responsibilities:
As a Complex Care HCA at Sirona Medical, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centered care to patients with complex needs. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- PEG Feeding: Administering nutrition and medications via percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG).
- Tracheostomy Care: Managing and maintaining tracheostomy tubes, ensuring airway safety.
- Wound Dressing: Applying and changing wound dressings, monitoring for signs of infection, and promoting healing.
- Medication Administration: Administering prescribed medications accurately and safely.
- Stoma Care: Providing comprehensive stoma care, including changing stoma bags and maintaining hygiene.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Health Care Assistant, specifically in complex care settings.
- Competency in PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, wound dressing, medication administration, and stoma care.
- Relevant healthcare qualifications and training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
