Job Purpose
- Preparation and finalisation of accounts for owner managed businesses, including Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited companies
- Preparation of business tax computations for the same portfolio
- Review of VAT returns prepared by the client
- Leading audits for Limited companies
- Supervising junior staff, including review working and knowledge sharing
- Build trusted client relationships as their main point of contact, proactively handling queries
- Champion your own professional development, undertaking training opportunities
- Work directly with Managers, Directors and Partners to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are being met
- Oversee on-site work and perform accounting, auditing and computer functions

The Successful Applicant
- ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified with previous experience in practice
- AAT qualified, studying towards ACA/ACCA or with a desire to begin study also considered
- Study support can be provided where needed for the right candidate
- At least 2 years' experience leading audits from planning to completion
- Adept at the preparation of statutory accounts
- A hands-on team player who can also work autonomously
- Excellent work ethic, self-motivated, and reliable
- Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
- Able to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and third parties
- Good awareness of current affairs and solid commercial acumen
- A can-do attitude and a proactive problem solver
