Are you passionate about safeguarding vulnerable communities? Do you have the experience and skills to lead safeguarding strategies and promote the wellbeing of others? If so, our client is looking for a dedicated Safeguarding Manager to ensure the safety and protection of our customers throughout the Southwest.

This is a full time, permanent position, though we welcome applications from people interested in job share or flexible working hours. You can be based in our Exeter, Tolvaddon or Weston-Super-Mare offices, with the option for hybrid working

Safeguarding a Living Community

  • Lead the safeguarding strategy, ensuring effective management and escalation of all cases
  • Maintain strong partnerships with statutory agencies and challenge professional differences when necessary
  • Coordinate safeguarding policies, ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks and best practices

Preferred Requirements

  • Relevant experience managing complex safeguarding cases, ideally with both adults and children
  • In-depth knowledge of legislative frameworks relating to safeguarding, mental capacity, and domestic abuse
  • Ability to educate and support colleagues in identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns
  • Experience providing advice and support to colleagues working with specialist groups
  • Possess a Level 3 safeguarding qualification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Safeguarding-specific qualifications or certifications
  • Additional relevant educational background or professional training
  • Experience in housing, social work, or related fields
