Pre-Fabrication Operative
Paddock Wood – must drive with own transport due to location/hours
£28k-34k DOE
Hours – 6.30am – 4pm Monday – Friday (overtime possible weeknights and Saturday mornings)
Fantastic exclusive opportunity for a Pre-Fabrication Operative to join a busy and fast paced workshop environment in West Kent.
As a Pre-Fabrication Operative, you will be:
- Working in a busy
Workshop environment
using a range of
hand tools
- Preparing raw materials, equipment and components
- Carrying out a range of Quality Control checks; checking against technical drawings
- Fettling, spray painting and preparation for powder coating
- Reading technical drawings
- Learning the process within a metal fabrication environment
- Maintaining the
highest quality
whilst working to
productivity targets
- Maintaining a
clean and tidy working environment
- Providing support to the wider team as required
- Working to all health and safety rules and regulations
- Any other ad-hoc duties
The right candidate will have/ be:
- Some
relevant experience in a practical/hands on role within a manufacturing environment – salary to be based on experience level
- An
interest in mechanical engineering
–
ideally a relevant qualification
- An
awareness of working in a factory/workshop
environment
- A good level of
physical fitness
- The
desire to build a career
within a business long term
- Strong attention to detail
- An enthusiastic attitude, keen to learn
- Good communication skills
- Organised and methodical with excellent time management skills
- A
solid CV with working history showing commitment and loyalty to an employer
