We are looking for a skilled Service Desk Engineer to join my clients team based in Manchester on a contract basis. The successful candidate will provide First/Second Line support technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line IT support (hardware, software, network).
- Respond to and resolve support tickets promptly.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain systems and networks.
- Document and track support requests.
- Perform regular system updates and patches.
- Monitor and manage network security, including firewalls and antivirus systems.
- Assist in the deployment and management of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Support VoIP and telecommunication systems.
- Implement and manage Active Directory services.
- Provide support for virtual machines and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
