Our client is seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Caretaker to maintain the clubhouse and surrounding areas are kept in excellent condition whilst managing staff during weekend activities. You will be responsible for opening up the facility for school usage during the week.
Job Description:
- Ensure all facilities, including the clubhouse and surrounding areas, are clean and well-maintained
- Coordinate with school staff to accommodate their schedules and requirements.
- Open the facility for school usage during the week, ensuring it is accessible and ready for use.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, and gardening
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues promptly
- Manage waste disposal and recycling processes
- Supervise and coordinate a team of young employees on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
- Assign tasks and ensure they are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Provide guidance and support to young employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Assist with setting up and taking down equipment as needed.
Person Specifications:
- Previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance, or similar role.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair tasks.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual
- Friendly and approachable
Additional Information:
- Based in Leatherhead
- £12 per hour
- Monday, Tues, Weds 12-4
- Saturdays 8-12
- Sundays 8-12
- Onsite parking
- 2-3 hours on Saturday and Sunday mornings to prepare the facilities for weekend activities.
