IT Support Technician Apprentice

FrogBox IT is a tight-knit team that provides IT services and solutions to residential users, small to medium-sized businesses and schools across the East Midlands.

Overview:
Are you looking to launch your career in IT?
Are you looking to develop with a forward-thinking business? We are seeking an IT Apprentice to join our team.

You will provide IT and technical support to one of our schools in Loughborough and our clients across the East Midlands.

Key duties [will include but not be limited to:]

  • Support one of our schools based in Loughborough in the mornings and our other clients in the afternoon
  • Set up and maintain PC's, laptops, mobile devices and tablets
  • Assist with software installation and configuration
  • Assist with WLAN and router setup, configuration and maintenance
  • Install, configure and maintain Microsoft Windows services (e.g. M365, Office packages, Azure)
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware faults for students, staff and clients
  • Providing first-line support and advice to students, staff and clients

What we are looking for:
Desired skills and attributes:

  • Clear and confident communicator with excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong passion for IT and understanding of computer networking e.g. IP addresses.
  • Keen problem solver and able to use initiative.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Open-minded and positive attitude.

Essential:
Having a full, clean UK driver's license and your own vehicle is required - as the role involves travelling.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week:
Monday - Friday,
8:30am - 4:30pm (with flexibility).
