Job Title: Training Officer

Location: Wayside House Wilsons Lane, Coventry, CV6 6NY

Hours: 37.5

Trust Location: Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust

What you'll be responsible for:

  • The post holder will be required to develop and maintain communication networks with people both internal and external to the trust, fostering partnership working for learning opportunities.
  • The post holder will have direct contact with senior managers, line managers and staff of Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust.
  • To liaise with colleagues in other directorates over programme content to ensure compliance with legislative, CQC and trust policy and to meet staff learning needs.
  • The post holder will be required to produce reports evaluating training activity for the Training Coordinator.
  • The post holder will be required to motivate delegates attending training sessions and act as a role model.
  • To be responsible for the effective running of training courses in the classroom and classroom management, including room layout.

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • Understanding and application of the relevant information governance and confidentiality associated with the reporting of training activity and coordinating staff will be required to ensure compliance and appropriate sharing of information.
  • To make recommendations for improving service delivery, evidenced by delegate evaluations and feedback.
  • Well motivated with evidence of an ability to work without direct supervision and to use own initiative. Escalate queries outside of job remit to the Training Manager.
  • Ability to exercise independence and judgement in the arrangement of own administrative work.
  • To use own initiative and problem solving skills to respond to staff and colleagues in an effective, professional and timely manner regarding course attendance and cancellations, study leave and general enquiries.
