Key Responsibilities:
- Support Classroom Activities: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons, ensuring all students are supported and challenged.
- Intervention Groups: Lead small group sessions and one-on-one interventions to boost student progress, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
- Planning and Preparation: Collaborate with teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver tailored educational activities and resources.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, managing behaviour effectively and promoting a culture of respect and enthusiasm for learning.
- Extra-Curricular Support: Participate in and contribute to extra-curricular activities, school events, and parent meetings.
Requirements:
- Qualification: HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within a primary school setting.
- Skills: Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage groups of children and work collaboratively with teaching staff.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the primary school curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Passion: A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting the development and well-being of young learners.
