Logistics Supervisor

Sf Recruitment are working with a leading manufacturing business just south of Cannock , to recruit a logsitics/goods in supervisor. Working hours : 7:15-16:45 M-Thurs, 7:45 till 11:45 Friday.

Summary:
The Goods In Dispatch Team Leader is a key role responsible for overseeing a team of Logistics workers, when the Goods In Dispatch Supervisor is unavailable ensuring the seamless and efficient operation of the Goods In and Dispatch area continues. This leadership position requires a detail-oriented professional with an in-depth understanding of Logistics processes. The mission for this role is to ensure all parts are received, transactions completed, and items put away in a timely manner.
The individual is responsible for parts from time of receipt until time of put away in the correct locations. The Goods in and Dispatch Team Leader is also responsible for the accurate and prompt issue of parts to customers and for the control of stock located in bulk, FG and container locations.

Performance Targets:
- Ensure all receipts are received on the same day
- Productivity >100% with improving trend.

Key Responsibilities:

Communication.
- Conduct structured morning meetings and further daily communication with the team to ensure clear communication of targets and objectives.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with the purchasing department.
- Escalate relevant issues promptly to the Logistics Manager.

Safety.
- Collaborate with the H&S officer and the leadership team to reduce risks in the area by following risk assessments and work instructions.
- Ensuring they are working safely and maintaining a safe working environment. (5's & Risk Assessments)
- Comply with all safety controls (method statements and risk assessments) in the area.
- Report accidents, near misses and safety concerns to a member of the leadership team in a timely manner.

Quality.
- Participate in any ongoing investigations and provide clear accurate responses to Customer Concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Report any quality concerns to their line manager and actively seek to improve quality whilst carrying out their duties
- Comply with Company quality standards.
- Regular communication with the Purchasing Team to ensure that they are informed of over stock and early receipts.

Cost.
- Ensure compliance with targets and objectives.
- Meet production times in an efficient manner, 100% efficiency with an improving trend.
- Constantly strive for productivity gains through VA activity and removal or 8 wastes

Delivery.
- Advocate for the customer and uphold the promised delivery date.
- Keep customers and systems fully updated on any delays and expected planned dates.
- Coordinate with leadership and other departments to address exceptions.

People.
- Engage with our 'Switched On' Rewarding and Recognition process
