About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker/Site Manager to join our team at a vibrant primary school in Oxted. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the school, maintaining a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the general maintenance and cleanliness of the school buildings and grounds.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance needs.
- Manage the security of the school premises, including opening and closing the school, and responding to emergencies.
- Coordinate with external contractors for larger repair and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist with setting up for school events and activities as required.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a school environment.
- Strong practical skills in general building maintenance and repairs.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A good understanding of health and safety regulations.
