Position: Caretaker/Site Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker/Site Manager to join our team at a vibrant primary school in Oxted. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the school, maintaining a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the general maintenance and cleanliness of the school buildings and grounds.
  • Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance needs.
  • Manage the security of the school premises, including opening and closing the school, and responding to emergencies.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for larger repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Assist with setting up for school events and activities as required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a school environment.
  • Strong practical skills in general building maintenance and repairs.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A good understanding of health and safety regulations.
