  • Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience

Our client is a high-stakes operation SME seeking an experienced HR Advisor to be part of their exciting growth plans. You will have experience in a similar role with good UK labour law knowledge and enjoy providing high-quality advice to managers, supporting them at various parts of the employee life cycle. You will oversee all employee relations matters and work on key HR projects.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage all aspects of the employee life cycle, including onboarding, performance management, and off-boarding
  • Build strong working relationships across the business, delivering value-added services to management and employees
  • Provide HR guidance and support to management where necessary
  • Develop, implement, and improve HR policies and procedures that comply with UK legal requirements
  • Support the full recruitment process, including job descriptions, adverts, social media updates, and interviews
  • Manage contractual paperwork, including offer letters and contracts of employment
  • Maintain employee records and update HR systems
  • Administer employee payroll and absence management
  • Produce HR reports as required
  • Deliver training programmes to Managers on HR practices and procedures
  • Design and work across HR projects
  • Manage investigations and complex employee relations issues including redundancy and grievance
  • Monitor and develop performance appraisal systems
  • Gather and evaluate market data to measure the organisation's competitiveness for salary reviews, compensation, and benefits package

Required skills & qualifications:

  • Experience working in an HR advisory role, preferably in an SME
  • CIPD qualified, or equivalent experience
  • Strong IT skills
  • Good attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment law and HR best practices
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
