Manufacturing Production Assistant

I have a fantastic opportunity for a Manufacturing Production Assistant to join an industry leading manufacturing organisation based in Irvine. This is a 6 month contract, which potentially could go permanent.

In your role you will be responsible for performing tasks competently to ensure the timely production of products as itemised on the manufacturing schedule, in strict compliance with Quality Assurance, Health & Safety, Environmental, and all other appropriate regulatory standards and Company policies.

You will have many responsibilities, some will include:

  • Ensures the production facility is in a clean and Audit-ready state
  • Completes all documentation in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (EXCiPACT GMP)
  • Uses SAP for completion of electronic batch documentation
  • Verifies scales are in specification prior to use using appropriate check weights
  • Assembles and disassembles automated packaging equipment including; torque, banding, labeling and shrink-wrapping machines.
  • Operates automated packing lines for final packaging of bottles
  • Performs torque and volume checks as appropriate
  • Operates manual filling equipment and uses integrated software for liquid media bag dispense to fulfil production schedule requirements
  • Assembles and disassembles all equipment required for non-sterile dispense processes and for cleaning and re-processing
  • Fills non-sterile finished product amounts within the required tolerances into the appropriate packaging
  • Takes samples as required meeting internal QC and customer requirements
  • Prioritises workload to allow effective completion in order to meet the Production Schedule and communicates to Supervisor or Senior Technician of any delays
  • Reports to Senior Technician or Supervisor any deviations from procedures or processes
  • Completes accident and incident reports when required
  • Participates in the EH&S responsibilities for all functions performed within Production
  • Participates in risk assessment and root cause analysis evaluation activities as required
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives relating to production activities

You must have the following:

  • Experience of a production or manufacturing environment with specific reference to batch processing
  • EXCiPACT GMP experience
  • Attention to detail
  • SAP experience is desirable

The hours of work at 7am - 7pm and 7pm - 7am.
