RattrayParkin are exclusively partnered with an exciting well established, private equity backed and cash generative business which is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and talented commercial finance professional to join them as a Commercial Finance Business Partner. This exciting opportunity is created as a result of growth and will be part of a new finance team.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic business which has an enviable track record of supporting both blue chips and SMEs across a range of industries in the education sector.
This role will report into a CFO and responsible for supporting a number of commercial contracts, working with the operational teams to report on performance, drive up delivery margin, reforecast business performance, support on bid pricing and cash management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support, influence and challenge the contracts for which you are responsible
- Provide meaningful financial reports for areas of responsibility both to support company reporting and internal and external stakeholders
- Track and report KPI's in line with contract responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders in the preparation and review of budgets and rolling forecasts
- Identify contract opportunities and risks
About you:
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified
- Experience of working with all levels of stakeholder and able to communicate with gravitas
- Robust excel skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Demonstrable experience of operating in a commercial contract-based environment with the agenda of driving performance
This is a hybrid role with a requirement to be on contract sites once a week with the rest of the time spent remotely. It is important the candidate is based in the Midlands enabling them to attend these visits.
