Cummins Mellor are working with a reputable company based in Blackburn who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join a growing business and develop within the finance function. You will report into the Company Directors and work within a team of 6.
Your new role as a Management Accountant...
- Process a quarterly VAT return
- Process Monthly Payroll
- Produce Monthly Management Accounts
- Perform daily/weekly/monthly bank reconciliations across all companies
- Purchase Ledger management across all companies to include processing incoming invoices and chasing any outstanding payments
- Pension Scheme Management (including submission)
- Cash flow forecasting and producing weekly updates on financial movement
- Journal preparation - marking up on relevant system across all companies
- KPI's across all companies, including month end target reports
- Process monthly expense claims
- Ad Hoc tasks as and when required
About you...
- Higher level accounting qualification or relevant experience
- Experience monitoring cash flow, reconciliation and credit management
- Use of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Sage and Xero desirable
- Ability to work on own initiative, managing high volumes of work
- Experience processing payroll
- Knowledge and understanding of GDPR
- Forward thinking and proactive
