Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Electrical Fitter to assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, excellent technical skills, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install electrical components and equipment according to specifications and safety standards.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on electrical systems and machinery.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Fitter or similar role in an industrial or commercial setting.
- Relevant certification or diploma in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and diagrams.
- Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
