Title: Warehouse Operative - Burrowbridge
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 9:15am - 18:00pm (45 min unpaid lunch break)
Location: Burrowbridge, TA7 0RY
Reporting to: Operations Director
Salary: £23,795, negotiable depending on experience
NATIONAL VENTILATION have been providing a next day service for our Ventilation customers for over 25 years. Job role:
As a Warehouse Operative, your role will involve accurate picking, packing and dispatching of Ventilation equipment for next day delivery to our customers. This is a physical role with lots of lifting and walking.
You must be numerate and literate and comfortable using internal software systems, therefore accuracy and quality of work is of upmost importance.
The ability to be able to work as part of a small team is essential, although there is a degree of autonomy within the role.
As a Warehouse Operative, your responsibilities will include:
- Picking of orders
- Order packing
- Put away and replenishment stock
- Un-loading (Goods In)
- Checking
- Cardboard shredding
- Despatch
- Loading consolidation on to vehicles
- Minimise damage/wastage
- General housekeeping duties to be carried out during and at end of shift - collection of refuse, sweeping and tidying of work areas, emptying of bins.
- Comply with company procedures with the use of mechanical handling equipment.
- To be available to the supervisor for any other reasonable duties during the course of the shift.
- Adhere to Health & Safety Procedures.
Required skills and experience:
- Warehouse experience desirable but not essential as training will be provided
- Good work ethic and self-motivated
- Basic level of literacy and numeracy
- Excellent customer care skills
- Flexible attitude to work
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Confident inputting data with accuracy
