We are seeking an experienced Procurement Operations and Systems Manager to lead the implementation of SAP Ariba and establish a procurement operations desk. This role is crucial for someone with significant public sector procurement experience and a deep understanding of the end-to-end Requisition to Purchase Order process.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead the implementation of SAP Ariba for the procurement function.
- Establish and manage a procurement operations desk, ensuring efficient handling of requisitions, purchase orders, and compliance reporting.
- Manage the procurement team, ensuring delivery against SLAs, fostering a culture of development, and driving performance improvements.
- Oversee catalogues and contract management within the SAP Ariba system.
- Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations and policies.
- Develop and maintain robust operational and system reporting to support decision-making.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for system capabilities and team effectiveness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in public sector procurement.
- Strong knowledge of Requisition to Purchase Order processes.
- Expertise in catalogues and contracts management.
- Proven track record in implementing procurement systems, preferably SAP Ariba or similar.
- Experience managing and developing teams to deliver against SLAs.
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
