Our client is looking for a SEND specialist who also has experience of Ofsted and inspections.

Onsite 5 days a week possible 1 day from home.

  • SEND currently 120 leaners/5 tutors

OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB:

To manage, develop and grow the allocated departments in line with College Key Performance Indicators, ensuring a robust and dynamic curriculum is researched, planned and implemented with a positive outcome for all learners and stakeholders. The role will contribute to the achievement of the College's Strategic Plan

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To manage the planning, development, delivery and monitoring of the allocated departments, ensuring that the curriculum is planned and delivered efficiently and effectively, and compliant with funding regulations.
  2. Act as line manager for a number of tutors, assessors and IQAs, monitoring and managing performance objectives and reviews.
  3. To lead on and work closely with the College marketing team to build relationships with new stakeholders and partners, with a focus on income growth for allocated curriculum areas.
  4. To ensure that all data requirements are maintained, records are up to date and accurate, and deadlines for returns are made, with assistance from the relevant support staff. 5. To be responsible for managing the allocated departmental budget, including staffing budgets in line with Key Performance Indicators.
  5. To work closely with the Director of Curriculum & Curriculum leader to ensure the quality of provision, strong retention and achievement rates are met in the allocated areas through the College quality systems and procedures.
  6. Manage and monitor the self-assessment and update the quality improvement plan of the allocated departments ensuring reviews are carried out termly.
  7. To be responsible for developing the allocated departments to meet the existing and new Education Inspection Framework 2019, ensuring they are always 'Inspection Ready'.
  8. To conduct appropriate audit checks including Internal Verification, Moderation and review, ensuring the highest standards are being achieved within the allocated departments.
  9. To ensure Learning Support is effectively integrated into courses.
