Commercial Finance Manager

Robert Half is collaborating with a leading company in the energy sector to hire a Commercial Finance Manager. For the right candidate, this position offers a salary of up to £85,000 (depending on experience), 28 days of annual leave, private medical insurance, growth opportunities, and a relocation package for those willing to move.

This role requires on-site presence 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the management team and peer groups in fleet finance and supply chain, to achieve financial objectives, share best practices, and continuously enhance local and fleet performance.
  • Lead the Commercial department, ensuring its functionality, efficiency, productivity, and the quality of its outputs.
  • Ensure financial controls and governance arrangements are in line with company practices, adhered to, and documented.
  • Oversee contract performance, manage supplier and contractor activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support commercial decision-making.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Conduct financial risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Support pricing and commercial contract negotiations with key clients and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Qualified finance professional. Will consider Qualified By Experience
  • Strong background in finance business partnering.
  • Proven ability to hold senior stakeholders and contract partner organisations accountable for their performance and financial results.
  • Experience with large ERP systems.
