Role and Responsibilities:

As a Learning Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students' academic and personal growth. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building positive relationships with students to inspire and motivate them.
  • Providing one-on-one and group mentoring sessions to address academic and personal challenges.
  • Developing tailored support plans to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Assisting students in setting and achieving their academic goals.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support student progress.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Encouraging positive behavior and helping students develop effective study and life skills.
  • Monitoring and reporting on student progress and wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in education, mentoring, or youth work.
  • Experience in mentoring or pastoral care roles.
