Multilingual Accounts Receivable Assistant

We're seeking an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join a growing, diverse team based in Fareham. If you're a great communicator, and are eager to learn, this is your chance to grow in a large, international organisation.

In this role, you will monitor customer accounts, follow up on overdue payments, and handle queries from customers and internal teams. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing customer accounts – monitor and follow up on overdue payments via phone, email and letter
  • Payment processing – accurately post and allocate payments in the ERP, maintaining precise account balances
  • Query resolution – address and resolve queries from customers and internal teams around account balances, overdue debts and invoice copies
  • Statements and notices – generate and distribute customer statements monthly and as required, and issue overdue debt notices
  • Month and year end support – assist in close tasks, including providing data for bad debt and completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Process improvement – contribute to enhancing Accounts Receivable processes, structures and systems

What you will need:

  • Independent/Proficient (B 1-2, C-1 level) in a European additional language
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Sales Ledger Clerk / Accounts Receivable Administrator / Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant – if you are at an early stage of your finance career and/or are studying your AAT, please don't be put off from applying!
  • Working background in a large, international organisation
  • To be a confident and articulate communicator
  • Excel knowledge
