Are you an organised and detail orientated individual who has experience in the automotive industry? Do you live close to Eastleigh and seek a full-time office based role? This new position of Office Manager would suit a customer focused team player who has outstanding communication and organisation skills!

You would be joining a small team of highly enthusiastic mechanics who would be reliant upon your expertise to manage the administration and customer service operations. Working solo in the office, your role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of the business.

This is a full-time, permanent position, based on the outskirts of Eastleigh. Monday-Friday 0900-1700. Salary circa £30,000 per year, and for anyone with relevant experience, the salary can be negotiated.

Working with a terrific and supportive team, the role of Office Manager is considered the heart of the business. As the first port of call for all customers and suppliers, you will be putting your exceptional people skill to good use. We wish to recruit a self-starter who is happy to take the reins when organising and implementing admin processes, and your input will be required (and appreciated) to help streamline current procedures.

Our ideal candidate has experience of working within the automotive industry or has a solid grasp/passion for cars! You will be highly IT literate (Mac, Xero) although training on these specific systems can be provided.

Day to day responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Deal with all incoming calls/emails/correspondence
  • Contacting customers regarding repairs/ booking MOT's etc
  • Source/procurement of parts
  • Providing estimates to customers
  • Follow up with customers
  • Working cohesively with the mechanics, keeping all lines of communication open
  • Invoicing (using Xero system)
  • Diary management for all mechanics/ schedule appointments and manage calendars
  • Handle queries from clients and employees
  • Keep reception/office area tidy

Essential

  • IT literate (Mac, Xero advantageous)
  • Team player
  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Personable, confident communicator
  • Managerial experience/understanding of running a business
