Credit Control Team Leader

A London market (re)insurance underwriting business is recruiting for a Credit Control Team Leader.

Reporting to the Head of Credit Control your primary role will be to establish, lead and manage the Credit Control function for the UK, driving standardized procedures, implementing Key Performance Indicators and SLAs, and proactively managing the Off-Shore team to ensure accounts are serviced to a high standard and within deadlines.

This role is essential in creating a culture of continuous improvement using process excellence and contributing to the broader success of the Group Operations and Finance Team. You will be liaising regularly with the Underwriters and working with them for their respective portfolios for escalations and in managing the debt position.

Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the collection and processing of all monies owed in an accurate and timely manner, reducing Bad Debt exposure, and improving cash flow and investment income.

Applicants must have significant experience in the insurance industry within Credit Control, preferably in a similar leadership role, have experience of dealing with Underwriters and Operations, and Credit Control teams, and have experience with Xchanging, IRIS or other underwriting systems (desirable but not essential). Previous use of IMR and Lloyds Accounts Enquiry would be very beneficial.
