Regional Sales Manager

We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Regional Sales Manager to oversee the performance of our UK sales territory. The role involves building effective relationships with key decision-makers within municipal and industrial end users, contractors, and consultants. The successful candidate will be instrumental in promoting the brand and value proposition, creating opportunities for our network of distributors and partners, and providing high-quality support to maximise partner performance and growth.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Create and manage an effective distribution channel aligned with the company's vision, values, and strategy.
  • Promote co-marketing activities, product training, purchaser and end customer visits, and regular business review updates with the distribution network.
  • Utilise specification sales techniques to leverage product quality and brand reputation.
  • Maintain correct levels of pricing and margin recovery in line with the company's business plan and product strategies.
  • Produce high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and marketing activity forecasts.
  • Liaise with distributors, customers, and internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Conduct commercial negotiations to secure orders that are acceptable to the company.
  • Manage post-order commercial issues to ensure an effective sale and invoice process.
  • Find, appoint, train, motivate, and monitor new distributors.
  • Provide regular sales activity updates and market strategy insights to the Sales Director.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and reports, including an overview of territory performance.
  • Lead the company's presence at regional trade exhibitions and other duties as requested.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Experience in Distribution Sales
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good administrative skills with very high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft TEAMS.
  • Proven experience in a technical sales manager role.
  • Experience working through a distributor sales network.
  • A degree or equivalent work experience in a related role is advantageous.
