Job Summary

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, improving, and repairing equipment, plant, and services. Your work will ensure production efficiency and compliance with best practices. You'll respond to technical issues, conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), and manage projects of moderate complexity under general supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend breakdowns, diagnose faults, and repair plant and equipment to minimise downtime.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs safely, timely, and professionally.
  • Estimate job duration and consequences of delays.
  • Escalate activities that may cause harm or damage.
  • Report breakdown root causes, faults, and concerns.
  • Ensure high-quality standards and adherence to regulations.
  • Identify and log spares requirements.
  • Develop and carry out PPM schedules, providing feedback for system improvement.
  • Assist in the moving, installation, and repositioning of machines and equipment

Experience

  • Practical hands-on problem-solving approach.
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, specifically with CNC machinery.
  • Commercial understanding of production failure/downtime impact.
