Fabrication and Welding Tutor Full time or part time options available, up to 37 hours per week £28,260- £33,766 per annum (full time salary, will be pro-rated for part time) Burton on Trent, Town Centre Campus

Who are we looking for?

Burton and South Derbyshire College have an exciting Fabrication & Welding curriculum, aimed at matching learner's skills to the needs of local employers. This requires a competent, up-to-date Fabrication & Welding Tutor with commercial experience from industry, alongside an enthusiastic approach to teaching and engaging our learners.

You will assess and monitor students engaged in Level 1, 2 & 3 programs, and support and facilitate student learning; liaising closely with the Curriculum Team Leader, Course Leaders and Management.

Essential for this post are an Initial Teacher Training Qualification or the willingness to work towards one, and a minimum Level 3 Welding qualification, with recent and extensive industry experience. You will also have the ability to design programme materials for the department to support the training and assessment programme within the department.

Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
