Are you a Marketing & Communications Specialist, looking to join a well-established organisation, where you will support in the delivery of the European Automobile and Corporate communications strategy?

Honda Motor Europe are looking for a Marketing and Communications Specialist, to join the Corporate Communications division. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of a range of communication activities designed to increase awareness and understanding of the brand, products, and services.

The team consists of associates in headquarters and in market, with the aim to protect and enhance the perception of the Honda brand in Europe and contribute to the European business objectives.

For this role, you will ensure Honda's ‘Advanced & Sporty' brand position is clearly communicated through earned media channels, contributing to improved awareness, understanding, and liking of the Honda brand and its products and services

This is a permanent opportunity, with a salary to £38K

Based in Bracknell, 50/50 hybrid split

35 hour week & 1pm finish on Fridays

  • Responsible for supporting in the successful activation of a pan-European proactive communications strategy for Automobile and Corporate activities
  • Work closely with the Department Manager to develop a vision for the workstream and securing buy-in from key divisional and wider business stakeholders to maximise success.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the appointed PR agency, working closely with it to create briefs, manage delivery, and report results –identifying successes and key learnings to inform future activity.
  • Oversee the development and approval of all written assets to support earned media outreach – whether written directly or via the PR agency – ensuring technical detail and tone of voice are correct across press releases, press kits, event materials, etc.
  • · Oversee media monitoring for tier one European markets, working with the agency to deliver timely reports, identify learnings from the data provided, and report to the Department Manager, division, and wider business.
  • Day-to-day management of the Honda News website, working with the agency to optimise usability, while also supporting markets with content upload.
  • Work closely with the Social Media Section Manager and Events Specialist to deliver activity in support of Honda's sustainability communications.
  • Supporting the Department Manager in delivering activity within the available budget, ensuring the process around supplier payments is successfully managed and completed.
  • Delivery of and attendance at content shoots, where applicable, to support business priorities – managing production agency briefing and delivery of agreed deliverables to time.
  • Built close working relationships with the wider Automobile division and Corporate project areas to provide communications support and guidance.
  • Experience executing a pan-European multi-channel communications program designed to drive earned media coverage – either working in afront-line PR team, or within a PR agency
  • Excellent written and editing skills with experience of website management -comfortable with content management systems and managing through improvements with the web development agency.
  • A passion for creating compelling visual content, with the ability to inspire external teams to create great work.
  • Relationship management skills, able to work with PR teams and agencies at different levels of expertise across Europe.
