Join this leading logistics company as a Marketing Manager and excel in managing their marketing department through an exciting schedule of events.

Marketing Manager - Liverpool- Up £40k-£45k - 6-12 months contract, with potential for permanent.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Marketing Manager to join a leading team immediately on a 6-12-month contract, with the possibility of a permanent role thereafter (though not guaranteed). This role is perfect for a marketing all-rounder with specific experience in events management to play a key role in the implementation and delivery of major projects for new business ventures.

Key Responsibilities of the Marketing Manager:

  • Event Management: Oversee and manage three key high-profile events, focusing on new business achievements. This includes the entire event lifecycle from planning, delivery, and execution.
  • Project Management: Develop and run detailed project plans for each event, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Copywriting: Confidently handle copywriting tasks to support event promotion and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with various marketing teams across different organisations, especially in launching major new contracts.
  • Marketing: Utilise a strong general marketing background to support broader marketing initiatives as needed.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: A mid-career Marketing Manager with a proven track record in events management and a strong general marketing background.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in logistics or transport sectors is highly desirable. Retail sector experience (e.g., Tesco, Sainsbury's, B&M, Poundland, Home Bargains) is also beneficial.
  • Skills: Strong project management skills, the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility: Open to considering candidates in between jobs, returning from maternity leave, or those needing flexible working arrangements (part-time or full-time).
  • Work Environment: A collaborative team player who can handle urgency and fast turnaround times with a positive, get-stuck-in attitude.

Additional Information:

  • Working Hours: Ideally 5 days a week in the office, but open to flexible arrangements (e.g., 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH if working 5 days).
  • Events: The role will include managing three large events in September and October, including a major celebration event in Liverpool.
