Your new opportunity

Quarriers Nursery in Ruchazie is a purpose-built facility, with bright modern rooms, designed around the needs of children from birth to three years. Children, and their needs in the early stages of their development, are at the heart of our service.

The Nursery works in partnership with Glasgow City Council and is based within a busy multi-displinary family centre.

Your role will include but is not limited to;

  • Working as part of an Early years team based within the nursery providing high quality Early Learning and Childcare
  • You will ensure the wellbeing and education needs of children aged 0-3 years within an early years setting.
  • To deliver high quality child care and education to children
  • To encourage positive relationships between parents/carers and children
  • Maintain appropriate and accurate records of children's learning and development, including documenting their attendance.
  • To communicate with parents/carers regarding their child's developmental progress
  • Ensure that the nursery and resources and kept clean and in good working ord
  • To undertake any other duties or responsibilities commensurate with the post

This is a permanent full time post working 35 hours per week.

  • Early Years Qualification
  • Compassion and kindness to support people in their day to day lives.
  • Enthusiasm and self-motivation.
  • Ability to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals.
  • Excellent problem solver who is driven by positive outcomes.
  • Resilient, reliable and an excellent listener.
  • Good IT & communication skills.
