Plant Supervisor

Position- Production Supervisor

Full time. 37.5 hours per week, working day shift. However, applicants will be expected to be flexible.

Rate of pay from £18.19PH

Location- Stoke on Trent, ST6 area.

Are you a natural leader with a passion for production? Do you thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment? We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our client's team. Working on a temporary basis initially, however could potentially lead to a permanent opportunity. If you are enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills, this could be the perfect role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the production team to ensure efficient operations and meet production targets.
  • Monitor and report on production metrics, such as quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control and logistics, to ensure smooth production processes.
  • Troubleshoot any production issues or equipment malfunctions to minimise downtime.
  • Maintain plant facilities in proper and safe condition, environmental compliance, administering programs to safeguard personnel, preserve facilities, promote good housekeeping, and maintain good community relations.
  • Monthly reporting, including scorecard and production forecasts.
  • Provide and/or arrange appropriate communication and training in health and safety to staff during induction and as and when identified during employment.
  • Ensure STOP inspections are executed and followed through.
  • Champion the incident and near miss reporting procedure. Support line management in root cause analysis.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility- You may be required to attend another site located in ST3 area.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to multitask.
