Product Manager

Product Managers opportunity with this expanding manufacturing company

Whole products life-cycle management of an ever-increasing range of mechanical building services products from initial planning and market research to delivery and ongoing performance analysis. Your role will involve:

  • Crafting a product vision and road-map that aligns with our business objectives and market needs, informed by feedback from stakeholders, customers, market research, and industry insights.
  • Identifying opportunities for product development or enhancement and collaborating with Development/Engineering and Sales and Marketing teams to bring these products to market, ensuring they meet high-quality standards.
  • Creating product forecasts based on input from marketing, sales, market analysis, and your own expertise, and managing their execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and define the product strategy and road-map.
  • Oversee the product life-cycle from inception to discontinuation.
  • Serve as the company's expert on the product, market, technology, and competition.
  • Prepare business cases for new product investments and secure internal approval.
  • Draft Market Requirements documents detailing product specifications, costs, and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing manager to create and implement a product marketing plan and budget.
  • Establish core positioning and messaging for the products, working with the marketing manager to provide data on product positioning, competitor analysis, and market trends.
  • Conduct product demonstrations for customers and develop internal training programmes for staff.
  • Monitor product performance and propose improvements.
  • Identify and support sales channels.
  • Develop market entry strategies with key stakeholders to support product growth.
  • Promote the product to sales teams through training sessions, newsletters, and other methods.
  • Provide training to technical sales support and the sales team.
  • Coordinate with development and marketing teams on project delivery.
  • Gather feedback from sales and customers to inform product road-maps.
  • Represent customer interests in senior-level meetings.
  • Deliver regular volume, revenue, and profit forecasts using business intelligence and market data.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Over 2 years of product management experience.
  • Strong understanding of product engineering and management principles.
  • Experience with marketing data analytics and tools.
  • Proven negotiation and networking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of representing the company at all levels.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.
  • High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
