Role Summary:
To provide part time accounts or bookkeeping support within a small team based in Newbury. We are looking for excellent attention to detail, a real team player and a good work ethic.
Bookkeeping/Accounts responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Checking Purchase Invoices.
- Preparing Supplier payment runs.
- Matching supplier payments on Xero.
- Checking VAT Input Certificates.
- Process Debtor receipts from Automatic Bank feeds into Xero.
- Liaise with the team to correctly allocated Prepayments to customer accounts.
- Apply splits to minor overpayment and/or bank fees deducted.
- Monitor Debtor receipts and regularly chase as required.
- Match Invoice and Overpayment Nil balance lines weekly.
- General Banking and updating Supplier bank details.
Essential:
- Accounts and/or bookkeeping experience.
- Part time min. 15 hours per week/3 hours per day however negotiable. Working from home could be considered depending on person.
- Living in or around the Newbury area.
- Flexible mature attitude.
- Eye for detail.
- Organised.
- Strong ability to manage own time and tasks.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
Desirable but not essential:
- Xero experience.
- Experience within a manufacturing/distribution/engineering environment.
- Overseas currency for example dollars and euros.
Qualifications:
- Good general education with high levels of literacy and numeracy.
Hourly rate: Flexible depending on experience.
