Semi Senior Accountant
Salary Negotiable DOE | Accountancy practice | Bury St Edmunds | Mon-Fri 8:30-5 (1 hour lunch) | Hybrid working | AAT qualified (or equivalent) | Practice experience essential | Liaising with clients/preparing accounts | Forward-thinking, modern accountancy practice
The Semi Senior Accountant / Portfolio Manager will be cover the whole aspects of client jobs from start to finish. The company we are representing is expanding their team and are looking for an ambitious, customer focused individual who enjoys using cloud-based software to give their clients the right information to run their businesses.
Duties (include but are not limited to):
- Managing the accounts for a portfolio of clients
- Preparing statutory accounts and sole trader accounts
- Completing / submitting VAT returns
- Completing company and personal tax returns for clients
- Providing some management accounts / reports for clients on an ad hoc basis
- Conduct review meetings with clients where required
- Building effective, transparent working relationships with clients
- Providing ongoing support and advice to clients, to go the extra mile
- Seek ways to develop personally and innovate the companies offering
- Supporting Managing Director with ad hoc duties
- Assist junior staff with support where required
Person Specification:
- AAT qualified (or working towards ACCA qualification) essential
- Experience working within an accountancy practice essential
- XERO experience essential
- FreeAgent experience preferred
- Customer focused with a can-do attitude
